Student Counseling Session (9/1/13)
A student counseling session was organized in
Orchids for boys and girls of the senior classes separately on the 9th of January. Mr. Guru
Nadkarni emphasized that moral values are quite essential in our lives and
education without values remains meaningless. It is very important to have our
goals set and be focused in life. A clear purpose enables us to work hard for
it with determination. Essential values of life never change with the change of
time and they go into making a good human being. To become one is the ultimate
goal of life. Being respectful to parents and elders, confiding in them and
following their advice always gives a right direction in life. Adolescent age is
very susceptible to peer pressure which forms a bad influence on the tender
minds, distracting their attention from the desired. Individuality must be safe-guarded even in a
group and the company we keep has to be rightly chosen. Being thankful and
satisfied and learning not to take anything for granted makes us appreciate and
value the things that we are blessed with. Contentment is the source of
happiness.
The counseling was
very interesting with presentation and storytelling leaving an indelible
message.Sunday, 6 January 2013
